Eclectic spaces with a blend of vintage and modern pieces pleasantly surprise you at every turn. A spacious living area family room traditional kitchen and dining rooms make up the public spaces. Two old bathrooms were combined to give the master suite a more spacious and soothing master bathroom and additional guest rooms a nursery and a home office complete this revitalized residence.
While the initial proposal was to chop off the beautiful old trees to create a more spacious and centrally placed residence the homeowners thought otherwise. In came Prentiss Architects who designed a home that preserved the existing greenery while delivering a comfy elegant living space.
This not only gives the home a strong base but also adds another dimension to the astounding array of existing textures that includes wood glass and metal. While majority of the exterior is clad in Cor-ten sheets a large glass wall gives the home a visual connection with the outdoors while ushering in ample ventilation.
The small bedroom embraces the calming look of the living area and simple sheer curtains in white accentuate this appeal. With a lavish shower and steam area and a multipurpose guest room the home puts functionality firmly ahead of all else.
Large glass doors and windows ensure that the exterior courtyard seems like a natural extension of the living space. Even the indoor pool is surrounded by sliding glass doors that quickly blur the lines between both worlds! A multitude of textures including concrete stone and wood are used to create a remarkably elegant home.
