A beautifully curated garden leads the way to the grand private entrance of the house. Architects used a mix of Brazilian Ipe wood and glass to shape the exterior of the residence while aluminum louvers were used to keep out the harsh Miami sun.
Renovated into a bright cheerful modern residence by Maxwan Architects + Urbanists the lower level of the home makes an intelligent use of space. With a dining table kitchen island and other decor additions on casters the interior has a dynamic appeal. Large windows and skylights add to this ambiance by ushering in ample natural light.
While the grand cabin has an exceptional style of its own the beautiful use of natural stone reclaimed wood cowhide-covered decor and other plush textures brings in that unmistakable rustic vibe. Yet the presence of large sliding glass doors brings an element of modernity and connects the spacious lower-level living area with the carefully crafted outdoor living space. The line between the two is instantly blurred as you would find yourself spending more time around the outdoor fireplace while the star-studded sky takes over each evening!
The carefully concealed entrance to the home meanders through a path of greenery and leads you into a spacious reception area. An open-plan living space dining area and kitchen are housed on the ground floor while the private quarters are located on the top level.
High ceilings large shelves that reach all the way to the top and a warm color palette with jewel-toned decor were used by Jessica Helgerson Interiors Design to get the job done. As a tribute to the residence’s past ladders are added to each room giving the home an interesting appeal.
